May 5, 2022 · I've been trying to create a way to gracefully exit my heat-soak waiting routine, but with jinja2 it seems to be somewhat difficult, if not impossible. What follows in my going from a blocking, uninterruptible, waiting routine to an interruptible, non-blocking, routine.

it means on the soak roll, you don't include the negative modifiers from the wounds that are about to happen to your character. Example: Phillip is successfully shot by a bandit, who did 12 damage. Phillip has a toughness of 7, so the attack will shake Phillip, and cause one wound. Phillip decides to spend a benny to Soak the wound.
