Jul 16, 2024 · Thoroughly wash the wire with soap and water to remove all traces of the acid flux. Brighten the slot in the click with fine sandpaper. Place the tinned end of the wire in the slot and stake it in place. Use a soldering iron or gun to bring the click to soldering temperature and solder with rosin core radio solder. Wash the flux away with alcohol.

Oct 8, 2024 · A large iron like a Weller gun instead of a pencil style will get it hot fast. You need to het the bass hot enough to melt the solder, quick so the whole area does not get stressed. Place whole thing in warm spot or toaster oven to get it WARM, ot hot, to reduce any stress.

I tried to resolder feet with a small diameter steel rod (Piano Wire that fits the hole on the movement) with a soldering iron and regular rosin core solder. Even though I was able to attach the foot, the solder blob made the dial too high. When I filed the blob down, the foot came off.

Nov 9, 2024 · 2 joints are the worst soldering i'v ever seen . Remove battery and re do all the joints . If you have shorted that small ic it will damage the output gate . Recommend checking all comments with correct tool . Ie fluke 87 Component tester . And use small soldering iron with 40/60 or 63/37. Don't mix lead free on that board
