Jan 23, 2016 · Synthetic is good in a snowblower if it is started in an unheated space because it flows more easily in frigid temps. If the machine is stored in a heated garage, synthetic is not needed. Seasonal oil changes are recommended because there is no air filter, there is no oil filter to catch bits of metal and fuel dilution is common in these engines.

Sep 28, 2018 · I have a craftsman model 536.881800 snowblower that wont start. I have replaced the spark plug and check for spark and sure enough there is. What I have noticed is when I go to prime it with fuel the primer sounds like it is not sucking fuel only air. I have checked the primer line and there are no cracks or sign of wear.

Feb 2, 2015 · After reading your recommendation I searched for other reviews. I just got back from O'Reilly auto parts with 2 cans. Snowblower chute, impeller, auger and housing are now sprayed. One web site that sells it says the Fluid Film works great on snowblowers to prevent snow from sticking but stated it may have to be reapplied before each use.

Nov 19, 2014 · What I remember is not taking the tranny of of the Snowblower. What I did then is fill the reservoir with oil and carefully take the drain plug off while the reservoir drop. When the reservoir wood be almost empty, I would put the plug back and refill the reservoir. That lasted on till the oil became clear (about a quart of oil).
