Scab inside of left nose not healing | Mayo Clinic Connect
Mar 27, 2021 · I have a scab inside my left nose for the last couple of months that won't heal. It's on the mucous membrane. I reached out to my doctor who later referred me to an ENT, but their treatment is not working, so I'm looking for someone who experienced this before and could perhaps help me out. They think it's just dry nose.

May 3, 2016 · Thank you bobsconnect. I haven't been keeping up with discussions and just found your reply to my query about nose scabs. I do not have my doctor investigate the nose scabs. I just clean out the scabs and do it each time the scabs clog my nostril. I am 90 years old now and had removal of BC lesion on my right nostril.

Feb 10, 2016 · @needtoknow Thank you for your kind reply to my nose problem. I used an holistic product called cleavers. These drops I used topically inside my nose onto the cartilage where the first scab appeared. The scab had formed and then came out of the nose when I cleansed the area. The bleeding was bright red and several dabbings stopped the bleed.

May 2, 2023 · What has helped me to avoid my dry nose is a small vaporizer. Vicks makes one for a baby’s room. Small, quiet and easy to clean. I keep that plugged in and running near my side of the bed at night. I no longer have that nose problem with being dried out. Another little trick is to apply a very light film of petroleum jelly inside your nostrils.

Nov 6, 2023 · I have used the saline Nasal Gel too and it works quite well. I had a bout of the nose scabs several years ago during the winter months. I didn't realize that was a symptom of PMR. I've had a very difficult time find a good neurologist in my area. I live in Lexington, KY area if anyone knows of one.

May 3, 2016 · The nosebloods stopped after I quit messing with the area. I've struggled with joint pain in my right hip since I was 27. And both shoulders around age 37. Both happened during an event (stretching legs, doing pushups) and haven't healed since. I also noticed Wegener’s/GPA includes both joint pain and nose scabs.

The only thing I know is the literature that my ENT doctor gave me. He said it is a non-invasive procedure that reshapes the nasal valve area, widening the area to possibly help with airflow.

Feb 10, 2016 · Since having surgery last June to correct a deviated septum, I have great air flow, but am now consistently coughing up one of these scabs every 3 days. Post surgery I brought this condition to my ENT/Surgeon, which he scoped me and can see the “Crusting”; He reviewed the MRI that I had prior to surgery – No evidence of any abnormality.

Feb 10, 2016 · He prescribed me an oil i should put in my nose 1-2 times per day. (at laest once before sleeping) And to "Noseshower" with saline solution, 2 times per day. After 1-2 Weeks of use i don't have anymore scabs. He said it is something that won't go away, but will get better with treatment. (oil and nose shower).
