The electronic chip of the fitbit's battery does it and takes always 70mA no matter how strong is the charger. It has to give 5V output and that's all. USB of the computer gives 5,1-5,2 so I do not understand the recommendation to force people to use a laptop as a charger.

Oct 21, 2020 · I have found that with the latest OS update, the battery does drain more. Prior to the update I would get 5 days, now I'm at 4 days. I suspect that it has to do with the SPO2 running in the background all the time now, versus with a specific clock face before the update. Fitbit does have some work to do optimising the OS to improve the battery ...

Dec 7, 2019 · I got my husband a Fitbit 2 for Christmas ( 2019 ) and we just got off the phone with Fitbit, funny the person my husband talked to said that they haven’t gotten many phone calls in regards to the charger issues. I myself find this hard to believe. To bad he can’t use the charger from my firbit versa.
