Jul 14, 2022 · The inflatable life jackets that require you to pull a cord to inflate must be worn to count as a life jacket in the boat. If you have a inflatable that requires you to pull the cord to inflate (ie falling in the water will not make it go off), it does not count as a life jacket in your boat if you aren’t wearing it.
