Apr 11, 2020 · I've been putting legs and casters on Ikea items for years. If the bottom is a solid plate, etc. Another choice might be to put an additional plate at the bottom with the wheels attached to that. Good luck :)

Feb 12, 2022 · IKEA actually sells castors that you can attach to the bottoms of the Kallax - I think they’re called Rill casters. I would recommend the Rill castors, not Alex castors. If the Kallax unit gets too heavy and if the surface the wheel is rolling on is carpet or rug surface, then the Alex castors can get stuck.
