May 5, 2021 · The Hiperbipe has two tanks; 26 gallons with a fixed pick up and 13 gallons with a flop tube. In the "Super Nova" Hiperbipe Joann flew there were flop tubes in both tanks. She also doubled up the tail brace wires for some reason... 7HT has full inverted fuel and oil. Also has a 7 gallon smoke oil tank and a Smoking Airplanes smoke pump.

May 3, 2013 · Good ones come up for sale every so often at around $42-$48k. Like any other airframe there are cheaper examples of the breed for sale that have been "modded" or damaged and rebuilt...the wear spot in the Hiperbipe is the wings; the original glue used to attach the wood ribs to the wood spars and the wood skin to both deteriorates with age.

I've seen on in person, but it's been forever since I've been around it. Seems like an amazing design. I'm looking for just what it was designed for, speedy cruising for two, with a bit of acro tossed in.

Feb 1, 2007 · Tomorrow I'm off on a quest to buy a low-n-slow to play with. I found a nice 1941 J5A (in a stylish Cub Yellow) with a freshly overhauled C-75 almost 400 miles from me. I'm flying over tomorrow morning; If the inspection goes well I'll do the money swappin' and form filling tomorrow and fly back in the Hiperbipe.

They come up for sale from time to time. $30,000.00-$50,000.00. Landing ranks right between a Citiabra and a Pitts Yes; she has "Experimental" tattooed on her hide but to me, that a BIG plus!
