Dec 4, 2020 · I installed forticlient and started using SSL VPN, and it was working fine. But after a week, the remote access tab just vanished out of nowhere. I reinstalled it and it came back, but after a couple of days, the same thing happened again.

Nov 14, 2023 · I use Forticlient 7.0.10 on Ubuntu linux machine to connect to corporate network with SSL VPN. Till yesterday I had "remote access" position in left side menu and just used that. Since then this position just vanished. No "remote access", my vpn connection is nowhere to be found and I see no way to reach it.

Apr 14, 2020 · We're fairly sure it was the 30 day EMS thing, makes sense and it definitely did remove the VPN feature. I think if it was 6.0.X Forticlient it may have been fine, but with 6.2.X they have changed the licensing and the VPN only and full versions of Forticlient are different products.

Nov 10, 2023 · Possible to display "Remote Access" instead of Zero Trust Telemetry as the default page displayed when starting Forticlient? Users keep disconnecting EMS on the Zero Trust page. I don't want to hide Zero Trust Telemetry completely; I just want Remote Access to be the default option shown when starting Forticlient so uers can VPN.

Jun 23, 2022 · FortiClient VPN does not tolerate internet connection issues. - FortiClient (even VPN only) is considerably larger application than Cisco AnyConnect. With all that said, FortiClient VPN has some advantages over AnyConnect: - FortiClient EMS is in my opinion far better than AnyConnect Configuration Tool / profile editor.

Sep 7, 2023 · Enabling reauth causes the tunnel to be torn down if the client doesn't reauthenticate before the SA expires. This utilizes a mechanism defined in RFC4478. Unfortunately I do not know if FortiClient supports it. Though I guess even if FortiClient doesn't support it, just cutting the user's tunnel off may fulfil your requirements.
