Jul 6, 2023 · Possibly the unresisted 12 volt wire that is activated by the starter solinoid to provide a hotter spark during cranking. Obviously the wiring is hacked here but in the Scout 80 diagram I am looking at, a wire comes from the second small lug on the starter solinoid marked "B." It is energised only when the solinoil is energized.

Sep 11, 2009 · I rewired my 61 Scout 80 with a wiring kit from 4wheelinjunky.com. My 61 did not have firewall connectors. The new kit came with a fuse block that I located on the engine side of the firewall. All of the wires were marked and color coded.
