Technics CD Player displays 'no disc' - Help. - AVForums
Jul 27, 2007 · I have a Technics CD player SL-PG580A. When a disc is loaded it displays 'no disc'. I've removed the case & when a disc is inserted it does not spin. Also cleaned the lens. Anyone help? Bought in 1997 - should I just replace the whole unit?

Jun 7, 2005 · "The "No Disc" issue described by some C 515BEE owners was a problem that affected some batches of product made during a three month period from November 2007 to January 2008. It was due to a part called a leaf switch which is used by most brands but only available from a few sub contractors, so this issue affected our competitors' CD players too.

Jan 8, 2010 · I had a C545 for a while. it’s a very good player but mine stopped reading discs altogether. The disc would go in and whirring around but nothing was every recognised. I ended up buying a new laser assembly and replacing the old one. Worked fine after that.

Nov 5, 2018 · A few years ago a bought a new Yamaha CDs300 - with the onset of digital I’ve hardly used it - but I do prefer the sound of CD’s over MP3’s and feel it’s worth having one. Anyway - I went to use it over the weekend and no matter what CD I popped in the player it came up with the message NO DISC.

Jun 22, 2014 · Being an intrepid sort, I today took the top of the case off and-cleaned the laser lens with a camera lens-brush (no fluids) and now, whenever I insert a disc, it says 'No disc'. When I insert a CD, the tray closes and the disc rotates about 90 degrees clockwise, then pauses for a moment, then moves another 45 degrees clockwise.
