May 16, 2013 · I have had the 250 gal tank filled with dawn soap and water for a week now and the smaller tank still has propane in it. I was planning on using some of the propane in the smaller tank along with a weed burner attachment to burn out the 250 gal tank then i will remove the propane and connectors and let it soak for a while too. 05sprcrw-

Nov 18, 2014 · So, I have my 250 gallon propane tank, it's had it's valves removed for 2-3 years. I haven't calculated the firebox size yet, but am working on it. I'm just looking to have a very consistent smoker, that I can put things in, and know that hotspots are reduced. Based on my research here, it seems best to either build a good smoker, or a good pit.

Aug 14, 2006 · Usually the 250 gallon and under size range falls into this category. They can be had from gas suppliers who will let them go very reasonably (depending on their mood) and when selling the tank to you will disable it from ever being refilled by removing the regulator head and all thus allowing for safe conversion.
