Jumping diagonally through the orange during the second phase of the fight is wonky and the hitboxes are off a bit. The text for the yellow soul fragment is off of the screen during item selection. Jumping sometimes fails to work on the white platforms during Gaster's last attack.

Nov 19, 2015 · I know the second one is really long, but I figured that a Gaster fight might be a Pacifist one. I imagined that, since Gaster was spread through time and space, he could see all the different timelines, and he would project images of your failures and deaths in order to deplete your determination and prevent you from continuing.
What do y'all think an ACTUAL fight with Gaster would be like?

The only specific idea I want is that that the flavor text recites the full or extended "Pain Itself" poem associated with Gaster.

TL;DR- Gaster was only implemented late in Undertale’s development to explain why Sans was so powerful and to provide Tobyfox an avenue by which he could make a pre/sequel. Therefore, all theories about Gaster have little value because not even Tobyfox had figured out what he was doing with Gaster by the time he finished Undertale.
