Powder bushings are selected by number from the bushing chart (see inside spread). CAUTION: Lead Shot Bars and Steel Shot Bars are NOT interchangeable. Contact the factory for information regarding steel shot conversion for the hydraulic presses. Both 302 and 502 charge bars have a soft insert to prevent the shearing of shot.

Mar 18, 2013 · I was loading 19.0 gr of 700X with a #32 bushing. When I bought a new 8 pound jug I checked the weight and had to drop down to #30 to get 19.0 gr. Always check with your scale. The charts are worthless. Gary B.

Dec 7, 2022 · Use the bushing that drops the correct weight verified on a scale. Looking at the current Hodgdon data your load is nothing near a 2 3/4 dram load. Using either Fiochi or Rio primers in an STS hull they do have a couple loads listed using 19 grains of 700X and they are hot loads with high pressures.
