NBC has handed a Back 5 order to Happy’s Place, picking up five additional episodes of the Reba McEntire multi-camera comedy for an 18-episode total, considered a full-season order by today’s network standards.

NBC seems to be happy with "Happy's Place." The NBC comedy starring Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman was given five additional episodes, bringing its Season 1 episode count up to 18. It's not entirely surprising that the network would be eager to continue this show.

Considering McEntire’s role with NBC’s other hit program The Voice, it’s clear the network has a lot of faith in the red-headed country crooner. According to NBC, Happy’s Place garnered 14 million viewers across all platforms and the show itself has improved the Friday 8 – 8:30pm timeslot by +90% among total viewers.
