Stanley is recalling 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs in response to a potential safety issue with their lids, the company said.

Stanley, which also makes trendy tumblers that are wildly popular on social media, urged consumers to contact them for replacement lids.

Stanley issued a recall on 2.6 million travel mugs citing concerns about the lid shrinking when exposed to heat leading to a burn hazard.

Roughly 2.6 million Stanley mugs have been recalled after reports of burn injuries. On Thursday, Dec. 12, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled the brand's Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs after receiving 38 reports of burn injuries worldwide caused by the mugs' lids detaching while in use.

The recalled Stanley Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs were sold at Amazon, Walmart, Target and more.
