Mossad and authorities in the Gulf country had opened an investigation into Kogan's disappearance believing it may be related to “a terrorist incident.”

Israeli and Emirati authorities have confirmed the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a Chabad emissary based in Abu Dhabi, whose body was discovered early Sunday.
