Nintendo has been fairly tight-lipped about the Nintendo Switch sequel outside of confirming that 1) the console is coming and 2) the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released before the end of March 2025. Still,

Nintendo’s next console is on the horizon and a strategic early reveal could solidify its position and set the stage for its next generation.

So here we all are, waiting. For all the rumours — all the supposed prototype casings and talk of electromagnets and back buttons — the only things we can say for certain about 'Switch 2' are that it'll be revealed sometime in the next 123 days ( before the end of the fiscal year on 31st March 2025) and that it's backwards compatible with current Switch software.

Since its early days in the industry, Nintendo has been well-known partly for its various memorable co-op video games. Even in an increasingly online medium, Nintendo's co-op reputation stands well into the Nintendo Switch console generation.
