Apple is reportedly developing a giant iPad that opens up to the size of two iPad Pros.According to Bloomberg's Power On newsletter on Sunday, the company has been working on the foldable device for several years and plans to bring it to market around 2028.

Now that Apple has finally brought OLED to the iPad in the form of the most recent iPad Pro, its next goal seems to be foldable devices. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone maker is working towards releasing a foldable iPad by 2028, while the Wall Street Journal says the company hopes to have a foldable iPhone on the market in 2026.

Rumors of a folding iPad have been floating in the ether for years, now. Recent ones include a smaller model that Apple would release in 2026 or 2027. Gurman’s write-up today has strong echoes of the gargantuan 20-inch folding “iPad / MacBook hybrid” he detailed in 2022.
