MORGANTOWN, W.V. — UCF saw its postseason hopes go up in smoke as West Virginia’s CJ Donaldson scored two rushing touchdowns, leading the Mountaineers to a 31-21 win over the Knights Saturday. The loss knocks UCF (4-7) out of bowl contention and guarantees back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since the 2015-16 seasons.

UCF (4-7, 2-6 Big 12) snapped its eight-year bowl streak, extending back to the beginning of Scott Frost's regime. The Knights, who will wrap the season up Friday night at home against Utah, will finish with a losing record for the first time since going winless back in 2015.

The 4-6 UCF Knights take their final road trip of the regular season to play the 5-5 West Virginia Mountaineers. The Knights need to win their remaining two games to become bowl-eligible.

The Knights couldn’t contain the Mountaineers ground attack despite another 100-yard rushing performance by RJ Harvey.
