Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. faces up to five life terms plus 23 years after killing Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis and D'Sean Perry on a bus trip.

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding charges. He also face a charge for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Authorities had not released a motive. The defendant was a former member of the university's football team at the time of the shooting.
