Hegseth’s main credential for the top Pentagon job is that he served in Iraq and Afghanistan. His push to remove women from combat positions is not only deeply insulting to active-duty women and veterans who have fought and died for our country, but it would harm everyone who serves in the U.S. armed forces.

History has shown that when we exclude others simply based on gender or race, we miss out on brilliant leaders and skilled soldiers.
