In Jharkhand's polls, the NDA's seats dropped from 51 to 24, as the JMM-led INDIA bloc won 56, aided by effective campaigning and tribal-Muslim unity.

Saraikella, where Champai Soren won by a margin of 25,000 votes. The party lost two ST seats in Ranchi to JMM.

The BJP had taken a lead in 21 seats, as of 2.40 pm, while its alliance partners JD(U) and LJP (Ram Vilas), were ahead in one seat each.
