After four years at The Citadel and seven years serving in the Army, he decided to pursue his MBA at Notre Dame. While doing so, he also decided to become a walk-on for the football team.

But this year’s matchup is extra special for one Notre Dame player. Eric Goins played football at The Citadel in the early 2010s before serving seven years in the U.S. Army. Now, the 30-year-old is back in the states playing for the Fighting Irish, mainly as their kickoff specialist.
