The bulk retailer raised its earnings guidance after announcing it would increase its annual membership fee for the first time in seven years and add more fresh food to its shelves.

MARLBOROUGH, Massachusetts — BJ’s Wholesale Club announced it will increase its membership fees at the beginning of the year, the chain’s first increase in seven years. A news release from BJ’s says the “Club” membership fee will increase by $5 to $60 per year, while the “Club+” membership will increase by $10 to $120 a year.
