NFL players are done for the season whenever they suffer an Achilles injury. In the case of a football announcer, they just keep going. NBC's Mike Tirico called Sunday night's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams despite rupturing his left Achilles tendon last Monday.

No such thing as IR for Mike Tirico. The play-by-play announcer worked NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams after tearing his Achilles on Monday. Tirico tore his Achilles when he missed a step in his house.

Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth were in the booth as usual for NBC's broadcast of Sunday Night Football in Week 12 as the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Los Angeles Rams. Tirico, however, could be seen with a medical boot on his left leg.
