Moscow has vowed to continue testing experimental hypersonic missiles as Vladimir Putin threatened to strike the West in a coded message.Putin warned that Russia would continue to carry out tests of the “Oreshnik” intermediate-range ballistic missiles in “combat conditions” following a devastating strike on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

Russia says the use of a new hypersonic missile strike on Ukraine was President Vladimir Putin's warning to the West that Moscow will respond to their "reckless" actions in support of Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Russia had "no doubt" that the US had understood the warning from Mr Putin.

Russia launched attacks on targets in Ukraine overnight, including in the west of the country close to NATO borders, the Polish military said.
