MSU trustees approve $30 million in Spartan Stadium renovations
Michigan State's Board of Trustees on Friday approved plans to renovate Spartan Stadium, with some of the upgrades expected to be completed in time for the 2025 football season. The plan covers short- and long-term upgrades, and is expected cost more than $30 million.

MSU plans to modernize football stadium with new videoboards, possible new tower
MSU expects to begin the $28 million upgrades project in January and wrap up by August, in time for the start of the football season. Near-term improvements will include upgrades to the stadium’s videoboards and the first renovations of the fourth, seventh and eight floors of the West Tower since they were built in 2004.

MSU's Spartan Stadium could get new videoboards, suite upgrades for 2025 season
The project would start with replacing the videoboards, two on the north and a primary one on the south. Construction would begin in January, and the videoboards would be ready to debut for the 2025 football season. The proposal said the current videoboards "are two years beyond their anticipated life cycle."
