GM, Cadillac, and Andretti gained provisional approval to join F1 after the Las Vegas GP. Its engine supply deal with Ferrari rests on the team receiving official written confirmation. The American team originally planned to use Renault engines before switching to Ferrari.

Ferrari will supply engines to the new Cadillac team if its entry is approved for the 2026 Formula 1 season. The US brand has an agreement in principle with F1 to join the championship from 2026 and to build its own engine "at a later time".

Ferrari will supply engines and gearboxes to a new Cadillac Formula One team in a multi-year agreement from 2026, subject to final approval of the entry, the Italian manufacturer said on Tuesday. A supply will become available then due to Sauber becoming the Audi factory team in what will be the start of a new engine era for the sport.
