Seahawks QB Geno Smith returns to MetLife Stadium this weekend to face the Jets as a much different player than the one drafted 39th overall by the Jets in 2013.

To Smith's credit, he uses the doubters as fuel. That led to an incredible opening act as Seattle's starter in 2022, winning Comeback Player of the Year. He earned his first Pro Bowl bid at 32 years old and even garnered some back-ballot MVP votes. Last season, he led the entire NFL in fourth quarter comebacks and game-winning drives.

Geno Smith and the Seahawks grabbed a huge division win over the Cardinals with some help from the 12s in Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks have taken down the Arizona Cardinals at home by a score of 16-6 in a rainy and loud playoff type atmosphere. Following on the heels of their upset win over the San Francisco 49ers last week,

The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback leads the NFL in passing yards. And interceptions. His rookie coach says: “We got his back.”

As he has all season, quarterback Geno Smith owned up to a key mistake during a Seahawks game. Once again, Smith shook it off to make key plays.

In one fell swoop, Smith snapped the Seahawks' six-game skid against the 49ers and gave Seattle control of its playoff fate.

Smith recently joined the Richard Sherman Podcast to discuss his performance. Smith told Sherman that he was especially motivated to end his winless streak versus the 49ers when he looked towards their sideline and noticed ex-Seahawk linebacker KJ Wright. Wright is a defensive quality control coach on Kyle Shanahan’s staff.

With a tight playoff race coming ahead in the next few weeks, Smith may have to activate his clutch gene once, twice or seven times more to help the Seahawks win. The Week 11 victory gives Macdonald confidence that the team can do it again.
