Kyle Palmieri scored twice, Brock Nelson had a goal and two assists and the New York Islanders beat the St. Louis Blues 3-1 to end a three-game skid.

The New York Islanders (8-8-5) defeated the St. Louis Blues (9-12-1) 3-1 on Saturday night in UBS Arena. The large, collective gust of wind that blew eastbound around 10:00 tonight resulted from the Islanders successfully protecting a one-goal lead in the third period for the first time all season.

The Blues and Islanders combined for one goal at even-strength Saturday as the Blues lost 3-1, their seventh loss in the last nine games.
