Much of the Midwest is getting slammed by a weekend ice storm, with Iowa in particular getting the worst of the storm expected to last through Sunday. The storm could be strong enough to bring down power lines and damage trees in some areas,

The eastern half of the United States is enduring the latest arctic blast from Minnesota down to northern Florida and up to New England.

Freezing rain will plague Iowa and parts of the upper Midwest into Saturday afternoon creating dangerous travel conditions.
