The Montreal Canadiens faithful received two pieces of good news on Monday morning. The first is that Joshua Roy has been recalled from the Laval Rocket.

The Montreal Canadiens have recalled forward Joshua Roy from the Laval Rocket, the team announced Monday. Roy, who has yet to see a game with the Canadiens this season, has scored eight goals and added eight assists for 16 points in 17 games with Laval - good for first on the team.

The Montreal Canadiens have started their week by calling up forward Joshua Roy from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Laval Rocket, on Monday (Nov. 25). Amidst trade chatter to acquire a forward with grit and plenty of line juggling, including the top line, Montreal has, for now, opted to go a simpler option with a known entity.
After time spent in AHL, Joshua Roy excited to be back with the Canadiens
Roy, a left-winger, practised on a line with Jake Evans and Emil Heineman. He received the news of his promotion Sunday night from Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent. Roy said he was packing for Laval’s upcoming trip at the time.
Canadiens' Joshua Roy: Summoned from AHL
Roy was recalled from AHL Laval on Monday. Roy has eight goals and 16 points in 17 minor-league outings during the 2024-25 campaign. He will be an option to make his NHL season debut versus Utah on Tuesday.
