Big changes—or more appropriately, smaller changes—are reportedly coming to the Costco bakery and it has muffin-loving customers ready to riot. The warehouse apparently didn't get the "variety is the spice of life" memo because according to a post on Reddit,

From cakes and pies to pastries and breads, if they come from Costco's bakery, they must be made from scratch, right? Think again.

Although the eight-count muffins are cheaper than the previous 12-count by $3, the math isn't working in customers' favor. In fact, one Redditor did some calculations comparing prices, and found that the new muffins are a shocking 58% more expensive per ounce.
