Larian Studios has already begun preliminary work on its follow-up to the smash hit Baldur's Gate 3. While the game won't see the light of day for at least several years, that hasn't stopped the studio from sharing its excitement for what's to come.

Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke revealed the team's project after Baldur's Gate 3 has developers "buzzing" with excitement already.

Larian has said it won’t add any major story content updates or DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3. But with these patches including the recent addition of official mod support, the developers have left the game in the best place for the community to continue the adventure without them. Patch 8 is scheduled to release next year.
