To shoot his steamy new Christmas movie "Merry Gentlemen," Chad Michael Murray says he took six-hour dance lessons to get in shape.

Chad Michael Murray is baring it all in more ways than one ahead of his new Netflix film The Merry Gentlemen. The One Tree Hill alum stars in the Netflix holiday romcom alongside Britt Robertson, which follows a former big city dancer who travels home for the holidays and saves her parents’ small town performing

Isabella Soares of Collider gives The Merry Gentlemen a slightly better 7 out of 10, writing that it’s a bit of a spicy spin on the ever-present holiday romance but still hits all the clichés. While there’s a little more skin than you’d typically see on Hallmark, the dancers’ act is too hilarious to ever be considered sensual. The critic says:

“The Merry Gentlemen” opens with a not-so-merry woman, Ashley (Britt Robertson), an aging Jingle Belle dancer. The pseudo-Rockette is given the boot by her boss, and right before the big holiday season. That’s how Ashley ends up back in her hometown, where she’s promptly deemed “city girl” for ditching the Big Apple.

Chad Michael Murray, who played Tristan in Gilmore Girls, stars in a new Netflix Christmas movie, which makes up for the actor leaving the show.
