One woman living in a remote community in Wales described how she is now into a fifth day without power and water

NIE Networks says power has been restored to nearly all of its customers following Storm Darragh. It said 15 customers still require more complex repairs but that "generators have been provided to ensure they have electricity until permanent fixes are completed".

A man died and hundreds of thousands of people in Britain and Ireland have been left without power as high winds and heavy rain battered the region.

Tens of thousands of homes remain without power and flood warnings continue in the wake of Storm Darragh. Two men died when trees fell on their vehicles in separate incidents during the storm over the weekend,

ESB Networks has said that 4,000 customers are still without power as a result of Storm Darragh. The key areas impacted are Carrick-on-Shannon in Co Leitrim, Tullamore in Co Offaly, and Arklow in Co Wicklow, as well as parts of Co Cavan.

About 57,000 homes and businesses are still without power across Wales after Storm Darragh battered large parts of the country. Despite extreme winds easing, a yellow Met Office weather warning remained in place across Wales until 18:00 GMT on Sunday.

More than 2,000 homes and businesses still have no power after Storm Darragh hit the country over the weekend. Some people in Somerset have had no power or internet for three days. The village of Porlock went without power for 30 hours and power was lost again on Monday for about six hours.
