SACRAMENTO — The Sacramento State Hornets will host the UC Davis Aggies for the 70th Causeway Classic on Saturday. Though this is being billed as the 70th Causeway Classic, this will actually be the 71st all-time meeting between the two college football teams. They also faced each other in the 1988 postseason.

Miles Hastings threw three touchdown passes for UC Davis, but it was Lan Larinson's 59-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter that helped the Aggies hold off Sacramento State 42-39 in the 70th Causeway Classic on Saturday.

The 70th annual Causeway Classic, a football tradition between UC Davis and State, introduced some new action this year to their long-standing rivalry.

The inaugural event will feature a card of 14 fights featuring amateur boxers from Sac State, UC Davis and other colleges.
