The latest episode of WWE SmackDown produced a major shock with CM Punk returning to team up with the original 'Bloodline' team of Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa's team. Punk was revealed as the fifth member by Paul Heyman who made his return since the June 28th episode of Smackdown when Sikoa kicked him out of the group and destroyed him.

Heading into the penultimate edition of SmackDown before Survivor Series: WarGames, Roman Reigns and his OG Bloodline Team of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn were having a whole lot of trouble finding a fifth for their match against Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline team of GOD,

Heyman had not been seen on television since June, when the new Bloodline took him out after he refused to acknowledge Sikoa as the tribal chief. Last week’s SmackDown had ended with Reigns attempting to reach Heyman, only to find that the number was no longer in use.

CM Punk has been making up for lost time since returning to the pro wrestling world in August 2021, and after Friday's "WWE SmackDown" the legend has found his way into Roman Reigns' Bloodline drama as the fifth man in the impending "Bloodline Civil War Games" at Survivor Series — a fitting addition as we approach the one-year anniversary of the night he returned to WWE.
