Disneyland’s version of Muppet-Vision 3D closed in 2014, and Walt Disney World’s is slated to close imminently to make room for a new "Monsters, Inc." land.

The Muppets are getting a new home on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the park hasn't said when changes will occur.

Walt Disney World's Muppet Vision 3D movie attraction is closing at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Florida, but its iconic characters are set to take over the Orlando theme park's Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

The Muppets are taking over for Aerosmith in Disney World's latest ride renovation. Iconic attraction "Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith," located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will be given a whimsical reimagining into a Muppets-themed ride,

MuppetVision 3D and Muppets Courtyard will be replaced by a Monsters Inc.-themed land, while the Muppets will replace Aerosmith elsewhere.

In August, when Disney announced a host of huge changes and additions to its theme parks, some of the critical details were left out. Disney was happy to announce what was being added, but was cagey in some cases about what was being removed to make room.

The Muppets are moving out of their current Hollywood Studios home, but they aren't leaving the park entirely.
