Bottega Veneta will kick off 2025 with not just a new creative director, but a female one: British designer Louise Trotter. She succeeds Matthieu Blazy — who nabbed the big job at Chanel, as announced this week — and will become one of the very few women leading a major luxury brand in fashion today.

MILAN (AP) — Kering announced Thursday that Louise Trotter has been named creative director of the Bottega Veneta fashion house, taking over from Matthieu Blazy. Trotter arrives from the French brand Carven, where she has been creative director since February 2023. She will join Bottega Veneta at the end of January 2025.
