Boeing issued lay off notices to 692 workers in Missouri, home to the company's Defense, Space & Security division, according to a federally-required filing posted on Wednesday, as part of the debt-heavy U.

The company told Missouri's workforce development department it would permanently lay off 692 employees by Jan. 17. That includes 111 mechanics laid off last week.
