Visiting Hearst Castle for the first time what tour do you suggest

We chose the grand room tour which was recommended for first time visitors. We found it gave a good overview of the castle and grounds and would recommend it
Can I take more than 1 tour in one day, such as taking Grand Rooms tour in the morning, then taking the Upstairs tour in the afternoon?. Thank you.

Yes. Just allow enough time to get back down and catch the second one. When we were there they were not letting anyone stay at the top but that may have changed.
