Yes you can take photos anytime time of the day, it is totally filled with tourist but still you can manage to take nice shots.

I can only answer this on a personal level: each attraction was different offering its own set of "wow" factors. If you only have time for 1, naturally, go for the Tower. However, we got …

I can only answer this on a personal level: each attraction was different offering its own set of "wow" factors. If you only have time for 1, naturally, go for the Tower. However, we got the package and was happy we did. Time? I would allow at least 3 hours to sufficiently explore not only the Baptistery, but the Church, the Tower, and there is a Duomo Museum opposite the Square worth investigating. And depending on your tolerance for crowds (mine is very low), I'd suggest getting there during the first opening time slot. By mid-afternoon it was unbearable. Touring early then allows you time to have lunch and enjoy wandering around the city. I hope this helps. K
