One of Covent Garden’s smallest venues, the Fortune Theatre instils a sense of both atmosphere and intimacy. Providing guests with some of the best seats in theatre, the stage brings the West End up close. Built in 1924, the Fortune has seen many stars tread the boards, from Dame Judi Dench to Alan Bennett and beyond! For 33 years, the Fortune Theatre was home to the enigmatic and brilliant production of The Woman in Black, and is now showing the critically acclaimed Operation Mincemeat. Tickets are available to book from our online box office.

16 definitely, 10 will be fine as long as not of a particularly nervous disposition. It’s not horror but it is a play designed to promote a tense spooky atmosphere. Audience jumps and squeals sometimes when unexpected happened in stage. Very small theatre would be difficult to make a swift exit if your 10 year old hated it so book a seat to the back on the end of the row. This play is supreme storytelling. Cast of two conjure up the story using very simple set and props and imagination does the rest its very clever but the opposite of a glossy West End musical. No age restriction as far as I was aware.
