It is said to have sahastra (thousand) shiv lingas carved in the river bed. The period is about the 16th or 17th century. Nowadays we can only see a handful of shivlingas from the edge of the river. … Full review by Global-Bhatakanti

Sahasra means 1000. But there are hardly 10 lingam. Few scattered old idols. Not clean. Tourists have piled stones. Looks like the ancient people used to practice stone carvings there. Not worth vis… Full review by 271shakup

A serene place. We went in the early hours on our way to gokarna. It was such a beautiful place, with calm waters. Witnessing many shivlingas in that floating water was quite a mystique experience. Full review by aakanksharao
