We would not recommend, in comparison to other State Parks…at least not in the heat, after the area had been flooded. We hiked a little over 6 miles - along the Big Sand Cave trail, the Little Sand … Full review by caitlinc150

We felt the campsites were quite small (at least the ridge ones), smaller than typical in other state campgrounds we've been to. Our firepit (the same as most it seemed) was right next to the road, so little privacy if you want to sit next to the fire and read a book, constant traffic along the road. It seems most of them have a mix of wooded and sunny so you are in the shade at least part of the day. The park itself, overlooking the rivers, is beautiful, but we weren't as impressed with the campsites as we had hoped. I thought the bathrooms were fine. We stayed in the Ridge campground, but there is also the Homestead campground, campsites might be bigger there.
