At J. Charles Swaby’s Black River Safari you are taken by boat approximately four (4) miles upstream on the Black River. During this hour and a half long boat tour you will be given a brief history of the area and a running commentary by your Boat captain / Tour Guide as he explains to you diversity and different species of marine life that you will be encountering. You will then return to the dock and take a walk through our Crocodile Nursery where you will be able to see and get a closeup view of crocodiles we have a rescued from danger and have been rehabilitating. You will even get the chance to take a picture holding a small croc.

When you take the Black River Boat Tour there are lockers you can get, I’m not sure how much space is in them. While travelling on the bus they suggest you leave you items on the bus. The bus driver and your guide usually stay behind with the bus.
Q:
Can you just arrive, buy a ticket and then go on the next boat tour? Or do you have to book in advance with a tour company.
A:
We drove right up to the place, and were on a boat within 20 minutes.
