The old stadium is a lovely area to visit, though the old temple is not great as it's literally just a couple of columns with scaffolding all around it. There's a cafe with clean toilets and the obli… Full review by Ana O

If taking young children to the Acropolis you need to be aware that there are many steep drops and very few hand rails /guards. This adds to the beauty of the place and keeps it natural but probably adds to a parents stress if little ones are apt to run towards the edges. I think the climb is easily accessible for little ones but again can be slippy underfoot, maybe the young ones would enjoy the donkey ride to the top? The views are beautiful but there is little shade at the top and not much for little ones to do. I guess it depends on your children and your nerves. I would have had heart failure taking one of my nieces here, she climbs on everything but another would have walked alongside me happily and presented no problems.
