Prune mulberry trees hard straight after harvest to keep them a manageable size. I cut mine back hard each year, and it never gets ant bigger than 2-3m tall. The new growth produces fruit the following spring... and we get bucket loads! Because I prune every year, I am only ever cutting into young wood, so it reshoots readily.
